This course, aimed at Independent Examiners with some experience, covers the practical aspects of tackling Independent Examinations and will look at some of the more thorny issues that arise in the process, including:

  • ·       What does the “required standard” for accounting records look like in practical terms?
  • ·       How to determine materiality
  • ·       When to qualify your report
  • ·       When to report to the Charity Commission

There will be a mixture of informal ‘lecture’ style & workshop sessions with plenty of opportunity for exchange of ideas and experience.

The course is open to members and non-members.

Delivered by Rachel Cooper.

The course content does not cover technical accounting disclosures, and assumes familiarity with the Charity Commission’s Directions for Independent Examiners.
